Few people ever take to the open road quite like Henry. He's always been the more adventurous one in the family and his trips down to Belize and Guatemala only prove that. What makes them even more adventurous is the fact that Eeore provides the transportation. Not many people would head off to Central America in a Series III Land Rover, but Eeore has proved to be a competent traveling companion.
BELIZE - 1999:
Click on the photo above to learn how Eeore tried to float....
Henry's first trip to Belize evolved from our fathers 65th Birthday party in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Our Dad and Henry climbed aboard Eeore in San Diego for a long hot drive down the Baja Peninsula to La Paz, where they boarded the all-night Ferry ride across the Sea of Cortez and headed south to Puerto Vallarta. From there, Henry continued solo south through Mexico City, Chiapas, and across the Border into Belize. His trip was not without incident when rising waters turned into a flash flood and swept Eeore off the road. Eeore was recovered by a nearby Lori and after some fluid changes, was back on its way. After exploring Belize and its many Mayan ruins, Henry and Eeore headed back North through Mexico and into Arizona for the hot, dry ride back over to the coast.
As you can see, the pictures managed to get a little water-logged.....
